A community services organization in New York City is looking to add a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their growing team at one of their group homes in the Bronx.About the Opportunity:Schedule: Monday to FridayHours: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pmSetting: Article 16 ClinicPatient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)EMR: PrecisionCareResponsibilities:The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for: Assess patients and create and OT treatment planReview medical records and verify MD's ordersImplementing OT treatmentCommunicate with supervisor regarding persons receiving services in the areas of cognitive/perceptual skills, sensor-motor, musculoskeletal status, CNS status, the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment needs (e.g., ADL devices)Confer with Physician and other Healthcare Practitioners to obtain additional information on persons receiving servicesIntegrate input from persons receiving services, family, and direct care staff in treatmentWrite specific, objective, and measurable documentationParticipates and attends care plan/team meetings as needed for persons receiving OT services.Perform other duties, as neededQualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Occupational TherapyNYS Occupational Therapist (OT) licenseKnowledge in the use of adaptive equipment, therapeutic activitiesComputer savvySolid assessment skillsGreat interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)Strong attention to detailHighly organized
