Our client is a prestigious single-family office looking for an investment analyst to join their team. The Investment Analyst is a two-year role supporting the Director, Public Markets in activities related to the portfolios managed at the Family Office. He/she will gain exposure across asset classes, but the role will have a particular focus on Public Equity, Hedge Funds, Credit, and Fixed Income. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of an entrepreneurial culture on a small team with a very large fiduciary responsibility.Primary Responsibilities:· Work closely with the Director, Public Markets on strategy creation, researching new investment areas, manager research, due diligence, and monitoring.· Attend meetings with new and existing managers and take notes in calls/meetings attended.· Take part in industry events.· Assist in public security quarterly and annual portfolio monitoring. This includes providing qualitative analysis of the data and liaising with the operations team to validate accuracy, formatting, etc.· Create models to monitor asset classes.· Assist in creating Investment Committee materials and participate in meetings.· Maintain records of manager interactions.· Support Chief Investment Officer as needed in preparing presentations on various aspects of the portfolios, reconciling data, and ensuring the accuracy of all information presented.· Participate in ad hoc projects as needed.Qualifications and Experience:· Bachelor's degree required.· 0-1 years of direct institutional investment work experience (e.g. in investment management, strategic consulting, investment banking, or other relevant fields).· Well-developed analytical and quantitative skills.· Strong Excel, writing, communication, and presentation skills.· Able to take in data and synthesize quantitative and qualitative conclusions.· Interest in financial markets and investing.Requirements:· Exceptional integrity, judgment, and work ethic.· Humble and self-aware.· Ability to work independently and think critically with strong attention to detail.· Ability to set goals, prioritize tasks, and manage simultaneous projects.· Bring a strong commitment to excellence and a sense of ownership to work product.· Highly collaborative and comfortable working in a small team environment with an entrepreneurial culture.· Adaptable to change with a desire to strive for continuous improvement.· Strong desire to support the work of a mission-driven organization.
