CAS Consulting and Services, Inc. is seeking a technically competent, experienced Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer for immediate hire for our Austin, TX office. Qualified applicants should demonstrate an established career in water and wastewater engineering specific to Central Texas municipalities, including the City of Austin and other local agencies. As CAS' Water/Wastewater Engineer, you will be a subject matter expert in the areas of water and wastewater systems, treatment plant evaluation and design, rehabilitation and expansion, and master planning. You will use your technical abilities for the planning, analysis, and design of projects for municipalities throughout Central Texas, including the City of Austin and other local agencies. Responsibilities will include technical work and project management for water and wastewater design projects W/WW pipelines and force mains, pump stations, lift stations, treatment plants, water supply systems, and solids handling facilities. The candidate will establish the project sequencing, create the project WBS system, and perform overall project management (both technical and financial) through the project's successful completion. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects concurrently and must be able to work effectively with all project team members, including the client, sub-consultants, and all levels of CAS staff. ResponsibilitiesLead the design of water and wastewater pipelines and force mains, pump stations, lift stations, treatment plants, water supply systems, and solids handling facilities.Prepare plans, specifications, cost opinions, schedules, and permits for preliminary and final designs for assigned projects.Manage project scopes, schedules, and budgets. Direct and oversee design, QA/QC, and project workloads.Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.Effectively convey work product and project results in technical documents, interviews, and presentations.Coordinate design drawings with our CAD team.Work with the marketing team to pursue opportunities and clients; prepare technical content for proposals and marketing materials.Work with the financial team to prepare fee proposals, project forecasting, reporting, and timely invoicing.Maintain regular and constructive communication with clientele and project team members, including regular project meetings.Perform equipment evaluations and develop technical reports. Light travel, mostly between Austin and San Antonio, for project needs as they ariseRequired QualificationsB.S. in Civil Engineering or a related field of study. Minimum 12 years of similar technical experience, or 10 years of experience if candidate holds a Master's Degree, with no less than 5 years of experience in project management/team leadership.Licensed PE in the State of Texas for 3+ years.Strong understanding of the most current water and/or wastewater regulations.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Firm OverviewWe are a civil engineering, program management, and construction management firm headquartered in Austin with branches in San Antonio, Dallas, and Houston.
