CodeGreen is seeking a Commissioning Engineer with a strong background in new and existing building commissioning to join our dynamic team. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will focus on commissioning systems in new and existing buildings for our Sustainability clients. You will frequently be on client sites for commissioning work, and will also be responsible for writing reports, budgeting and managing your time, and maintaining great communication with your team and our clients. You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external clients to deliver exceptional results.Responsibilities:Perform tests for a wide variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls systemsPerform design, submittal, and other document reviews and provide construction observationsDevelop pre-functional/functional test plansExecute all aspects of existing building commissioning projects including field data collection, checklist development, on-site functional testing, analysis, calculations and final report writingWitness and interpret equipment performance tests, install and use data logging equipment and analyze data collectedContribute to the engineering team's delivery of energy consulting on complex projects for local and national clientsComplete written commissioning reports, clearly communicating results to clients and stakeholdersPerform research into new technologies and remaining up to date on industry trendsParticipate in the development of internal company initiativesRequirements:Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in building commissioningBS in Mechanical Engineering or related subject preferred. Related technical commissioning training and experience may be accepted in lieu of educationCertified Building Commissioning Agent, CCP, BCxP, CxA (AABC) or equivalent preferredKnowledge of Local codes, IECC, ASHRAE, LEED, various state/local requirementsAbility to review MEP submittals, navigating between requirements listed on drawings and project specificationsAbility to review equipment sequences and interlocks, develop functional performance tests to confirm proper operation of equipmentExperience testing mechanical equipment including large central plants, understanding and experience testing lighting controls systemsUnderstanding of Building Automation Systems - Ability to review graphics, alarms and trending, identifying system shortcomingsExperience/expertise with using test equipment, such as ADM airflow data multimeter (and velgrid, flow-hood, etc.), ultrasonic leak detector, ultrasonic flow meter, HDM (hydrometer) combustion analyzer, and other common test equipmentAbility to multitask and work on multiple projects in different phases of design and constructionIf you are passionate about sustainability, have thorough knowledge and experience in commissioning, and want to join a leading company in the field, we invite you to apply for this exciting opportunity.At CodeGreen Sustainability, we believe in fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity.
