The Senior Manager of Product Development & Sourcing supports the Creative Director and Design Director in the development of the Fine and Fashion jewelry business. This role is responsible for maintaining new product development roadmaps and ensuring accuracy of information communicated cross-functionally to facilitate projects and meet key milestones. The Senior Manager of Product Development & Sourcing will maintain SKU-level details, negotiate costs to achieve SKU plan targets for new and existing product, and drive margin. This role will partner cross-functionally on product strategies and new product launches.Overseeing the entire lifecycle of new jewelry pieces, from initial samples to final production, including rigorous quality analysis and issue resolution with manufacturers.Leading the production planning process to ensure that all are delivered on time and meet the production schedule.Ensuring alignment of production schedules with vendor capabilities, evaluating key factors such as cost, capacity, and lead times.Collaborating closely with vendors to address any production bottlenecks, ensuring all issues are resolved to maintain delivery timelines.Continuously evaluating the supply market to identify opportunities to onboard new suppliers who offer the right skillset, capacity, and competitive pricing to support production needs.Developing a tiered approach to vendor management, establishing long-term partnerships with strategic vendors while efficiently managing regular and one-off vendors to optimize production flow.Building and maintaining a streamlined onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring all product development teams are aligned and organized in their approach to vendor management.Conducting thorough cost analyses to optimize profitability while ensuring product quality and timely deliveries.Negotiating MOQs, lead time and costs.Collaborate with vendors to continuously improve production processes, reduce lead times, and optimize resource allocation.Manage liabilities.Creating and maintaining image grids throughout various stages of development, ensuring accuracy of item detail and updates.Prepare and review price change submissions.Ensure project milestones are met on a timely basis (including SKU creation, maintenance, pricing updates and sign-off).Sourcing, selecting, grading, and purchasing diamonds, colored stones, and raw materials, while adhering to budgets.Carrying out timely follow-ups with vendors to ensure that samples are received on timePreparing status updates on designs and samples for weekly design and pricing meetings with Creative Director, Brand President, and Design Director before moving onto the next stage.Staying current with market research and sales data to ensure our products are viable and competitive.Reviewing existing product designs where there are quality issues.Requirements:5+ years of Production experience within the jewelry, fashion &/or accessories fieldHighly organized with excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to hold team members accountable to a strict merchandising calendarExisting, positive manufacturer relationships in then jewelry industryStrong knowledge of supply chain management best practicesExperience with pricing strategies in the fine jewelry industryExcellent negotiation skills
