TITLE: Learning Designer ANTICIPATION DURATON: 6 monthsLOCATION: Mountain View, CAProject Overview: Our client's education teams build products to help everyone in the world learn anything in the world. We enhance learning for school, learning for work, and learning for life. This project involves working with the education team to improve the quality and evaluation of upcoming features.Overall Responsibilities: Consult with education product teams on product design focused on enhancing teaching experiences backed by learning sciences researchEvaluate the quality of education products and provide recommendations from an educators' perspectiveRequirements: Experience in successfully designing, developing, delivering and improving high-quality K12 edtech products. Excellent communication, facilitation skills, and creative problem-solving skills.Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: Evaluate education products using standard templatesWork closely with product and engineering teams to refine genAI outputs, including prompt engineeringAssess improvements to the product based on rapid iteration cyclesMandatory Skills/Qualifications: 4+ years K12 educator / tutoring experience in multiple K12 subjects, either in-person or onlineCollege degree or equivalent in education, instructional design, computer science, or related fieldPrompt engineering using any genAI tool for education scenariosFluency with GSuite products, including Docs, Sheets, and SlidesNon-Essential Skills/Qualifications: Experience teaching educators (e.g. leading teacher professional development sessions at multiple grade levels)Advanced education in pedagogical principles and learning sciencesConsulting with education technology productsThe hourly pay rate range for this position is $70.00 to $78.39/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
