VP - Tax Compliance OfficerJob DescriptionIn this role the VP should enjoy and thrive working in a collaborative environment. This key role is responsible for a broad range of tax disciplines focused on the US branch operations of a Netherlands bank including tax provision, international tax, state and local tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing.Our Shared Future: "The VP of Tax enjoys the team spirit and the learning opportunities available when working as part of a smaller team."You and Your JobAs the VP of Tax you will be successful in applying the ever changing tax law to your roles and responsibilities.The Vice President will report directly to the Executive Director who reports directly to the Managing Director, Head of NA Tax. As Vice President of Tax, the incumbent is the primary point of contact for tax related matters. The VP of Tax will liaise with other members of the organization including Head Office Tax personnel to enhance the tax function.Job ResponsibilitiesTax planning and compliance for international bank.Understanding of income tax accounting standards for US and IFRS GAAP.Experience with automation of tax provisions and tax returns with particular focus on state apportionment and unitary state filings.Extensive knowledge of FATCA and information reporting for preparation of annual tax information reporting and withholding payments.Assist on US and global tax projects, Research & Development tax credit, transfer pricing, Pillar II, tax planning, etc.Your Promise to Us: To be considered for the VP - Tax Compliance Officer role, you must have experience in banking or finance industry with working knowledge of the tax aspects related to US branch of foreign corporation including but not limited to:Interest expense under Treas. Reg 1.882-5Interbranch interest income and expenseBase erosion and anti-abuse tax (BEAT)NECI and ECI conceptsHome office expenseInformation reportingState sourcing rules for US entity and Foreign BranchUnitary state filing experienceAutomation experience to enhance efficiencyPerform Tax technical researchTax ControversyAdhoc requests such as the enactment of Pillar II
