This skilled professional is tasked with conducting quality inspections to identify any wear, damage, or imperfections in furniture pieces. Additionally, the Furniture Repair Associate will utilize their expertise to perform precise repairs, employing a range of techniques to ensure the furniture is refurbished or enhanced to meet desired specifications. DescriptionConduct detailed inspections of furniture, light fixtures, and accessories, identifying issues, damages, or defects to formulate an accurate assessmentUtilize a diverse range of hand and power tools with precision such as power drills / hand saws / wrenches / ratchets to effectively restore furniture to its original condition, employing appropriate techniques to complete repair/restoration Familiarity in working with various materials such as wood, metal, natural materials, synthetic materialsAbility to safely work with a range of materials for finishing (glues, chemical compounds, paint, epoxy etc.)Maintain records by documenting information on inspections, repairs, and materials used. This documentation serves as a valuable resource for tracking the history of each piece and informing future maintenance decisions.Prioritize and adhere to high safety standards throughout the furniture repair process, ensuring a secure working environment for both one and others involvedGo beyond specific duties as requested, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute to various aspects of the furniture repair process.
