Director of Engineering

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the technology efforts in our rapidly growing small business lending company based in New York City. This role offers significant growth potential and will be responsible for overseeing software development, vendor management, cybersecurity, and infrastructure management.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering LeadershipDevelop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with our funding business goalsSet clear objectives for our SaaS vendor and ensure they align with overall company strategyRecruit, mentor, and develop technology talent as needed for a strong, innovative teamDevelopmentOversee the design and implementation of lending technology solutions with our SaaS vendorCollaborate with cross-functional teams to assess technology requirements for new products and servicesDevelop and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platformsImplement user interface designs and ensure a seamless user experienceIntegrate applications with backend services and APIsEnsure the effective deployment and configuration of lending platforms and toolsImplement AI automationsPHP, AWS, SQL Server, Swift, Java/Kotlin, React and ETL Reporting experience is preferredThis is a hands on roleCybersecurity ManagementDevelop and implement robust security strategies to protect our lending infrastructure and customer dataOversee security operations, including monitoring systems and incident responseStay current with industry trends and regulatory changes in cybersecurity for the financial sectorEndpoint SupportManage the endpoint support to ensure efficient IT operations across the organizationImplement and maintain IT infrastructure to support our lending operationsProject and Budget ManagementOversee technology project lifecycles, ensuring timely delivery within budgetManage the technology department budget effectively, allocating resources for key initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree is a plus5-10 years of experience in technology roles in the financial services or lending industryStrong background in software development, cybersecurity, and IT operationsExperience with financial technology platforms is required, lending experience is preferredExcellent leadership and communication skillsKnowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services industryCISSP or other cyber security certifications are a plusAdditional InformationLocation: On-site work required in New York CityGrowth Potential: Significant opportunities for career advancement as our company expandsWork Environment: Fast-paced, innovative lending technology companyJoin our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of lending technology while advancing your career in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.
