We collaborate with industry professionals and end users from concept to project execution, ensuring value-added, cost-effective results for complex challenges.Position SummaryThe Inside Mechanical Application Engineer/Estimator will be responsible for coordinating equipment selection, pricing, and project submittals. This role demands excellent organizational skills, a detail-oriented mindset, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You will collaborate extensively with the Sales Team, Customers, and Manufacturers to ensure timely and accurate project execution. This role offers a clear pathway to an Outside Sales Engineer position if desired.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain detailed job files for each project.Optimize projects through product selection, specifications, value engineering, and redesigns.Manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.Support Outside Sales Engineers and MEP Consultants with product selections.Communicate with stakeholders, including Owners, Architects, and Contractors.Prepare and organize data for order entry.Utilize computer-based pricing and selection tools.Interpret and analyze building plans and specifications.Build and nurture relationships with customers, contractors, engineers, and manufacturers.Identify and address project requirements, constraints, and opportunities.Investigate and resolve project concerns to maximize customer satisfaction.Travel occasionally for training purposes.Required Skills and QualificationsEducationBachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.Experience3-5 years as an Application Engineer or Estimator in an HVAC manufacturers' representative firm.Familiarity with MEP consulting, architecture, design, and construction industries is a plus.Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.Experience with manufacturer software like Johnson Controls' Solution Navigator, YorkWorks, Edge, K-Select, Bosch BST, or Wilo Pump Intelliquip is advantageous.Desired CompetenciesStrategic SkillsAbility to grasp complex concepts, adapt to changes, and navigate ambiguity.Operational SkillsEffectively prioritize tasks, organize processes, and streamline workflows.Behavioral SkillsProactive problem-solving, conflict resolution, and goal-oriented drive.Interpersonal SkillsStrong verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and stress management.Physical DemandsRegularly operate a computer and phone, with occasional climbing, kneeling, or balancing.Ability to lift/move up to 25 pounds.Requires visual acuity for close and distance tasks.Benefits (Full-Time Employees)401(k) with matching (up to 3%).Health insurance (employee coverage).Optional dental and vision insurance.$25,000 life insurance policy.15 days of paid time off (PTO).9 paid holidays.Professional development assistance.Work ScheduleMonday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.Supplemental PayBonus pay available.Relocation RequirementsMust reliably commute or plan to relocate to Weston, FL 33326 before starting work.
