Working with our In-Country Director and trusted local partners, we encourage and empower our Haitian brothers and sisters as we work toward a vision of a Haiti where all are valued and thrive.SummaryThe Communications and Marketing Lead is a full-time position for someone who is a dynamic and resourceful individual responsible for developing, executing, and implementing HTF's marketing and communications strategies. You will inspire both existing and potential constituents/partners to invest in HTF's mission with your unique talent for conceptualizing and formulating strong communication and marketing strategies and impactful stories. To accomplish this, you'll use your ability to see the big picture while also paying meticulous attention to the finer details, ensuring HTF's messaging is finely crafted and precise.Your primary goal is to raise awareness about HTF and its impactful work in Haiti, while also helping to secure essential funding for our mission. As such, your role includes developing and managing content for the organization's website, social media channels, email, and other marketing materials; writing and editing content; managing media relations; and organizing events. In this role, the Communications and Marketing Lead collaborates closely with the Executive Director. The main key performance indicators for this role are brand awareness and the ability to convert to donors, measured by followers, engagement, and revenue generation.ResponsibilitiesStrategic Marketing Leadership: Develop, manage, and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that increases brand awareness, raises engagement, and maximizes revenue growth.Innovative Communications Planning: Develop and execute innovative communication plans using industry-best marketing and outreach techniques to reach a wide array of audiences through printed and electronic media advertising.Digital Presence Management: Update and manage the HTF website, social media channels, and other marketing materials to maintain a strong online presence.Content Creating & Editing: Write and edit content, including press releases, social media, and other materials.Media Relations: Manage media relations, including pitching stories to journalists and responding to media inquiries and press conferencesEvent Support: Provide marketing and communications for development and fundraising events and activations.Sponsor-Funded ActivationDevelop and implement communications plans for congregation partners and community-funded activations.Partnership & Stakeholder Management: Build strong partnerships across all levels and with stakeholders, including investors, foundations, and business partners. Work with HTF Leadership to create stakeholder journeys.Analytics: Recommend metrics and interpret data to optimize fundraising campaigns, forecast strategic work plans, and anticipate future marketing opportunities and needs.Print and Electronic Material ManagementResponsible for the development, distribution, delivery, and upkeep of all print and electronic materials, such as newsletters, brochures, annual reports, e-newsletters, and the website.Experience and QualificationsMission Driven: Passion for HTF's mission to empower Haitians - to create generational change that transforms lives in Haiti.Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in a related field with expert knowledge of current and emerging communication and marketing concepts, strategies, and principles.Professional Experience: Five or more years of marketing and communications experience, preferably in the non-profit sector. Alternatively, five or more years of professional experience in a similar role.Writing and Editing: Strong creative writing and editing skills to create compelling and impactful content.Organizational and Project Management: Proficient in organizational and project management to handle complex campaigns and initiativesDigital Marketing: Proven experience and results with social media and other digital marketing platforms to maximize online presence.Public and Media Relations: Excellent public relations and media relations skills to enhance brand exposure.CollaborationAbility to work effectively both independently and as a collaborative team member.Additional Language Skills: Experience traveling to or working in Haiti and fluency in Haitian Creole or French is a plus.You have the following interpersonal skills: Comfortable communicating with all levels of stakeholders Extremely organized and attentive to detailAbility to exercise appropriate judgment and effectively organize / prioritize work and multitaskAbility to be flexible and adaptable in a multi-faceted role Maintains composure and is professional and polished in all interactions internally and externallyAbility to maintain a high degree of confidentiality internally and externally You have the following technical skills: Proficient in G-Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides) and/or Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Proficient in software/systems typically used in the marketing/communications fields, such as donor CRM, email management, etc. Ability to quickly learn other systems or software as neededCanva experience is a plusOther things for you to know:This is a hybrid position, allowing for remote work with periodic in-office requirementsThis position may require some travel for HTF events; therefore, the candidate must have a valid driver's license and passport or be able to obtain these itemsYou must be able to successfully pass a criminal background checkFLSA STATUS: Full-time, exempt employeeTravel: Occasionally required for HTF events Target salary range: $65,000 - $80,000 per year
