With a focus on fostering engagement and aligning people strategies to business goals, you'll lead a distributed team and play a key role in ensuring the company's values continue to come to life across its operational footprint.What You'll DoYour role will focus on three key areas:Team Leadership & DevelopmentLead, coach, and develop a dispersed Business Partner team of six to support the company's evolving business needs.Provide individualized career development plans, mentorship, and day-to-day guidance to your team.Ensure your team is equipped to handle complex employee relations, labor relations, and compliance-related work while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.Strategic Business PartnershipServe as a trusted advisor to high-level leaders across the company, understanding their unique business challenges and connecting them with tailored People & Culture solutions.Partner on organizational design, leadership coaching, team development, and talent strategies that drive measurable impact.Act as the primary point of contact for union relationship management and negotiations, working closely with legal counsel and plant leadership to foster positive and productive union relations.Lead and manage union contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring compliance with labor agreements and fostering a collaborative approach to union partnerships.Data-Driven People PracticesCollaborate with the People Analytics team to leverage data insights to inform People & Culture strategies.Utilize data to identify trends, improve turnover rates, address employee relations issues, and optimize workforce planning.Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies to maintain a fair and equitable workplace.What You BringWe're looking for someone with the following qualifications:7+ years of progressive HR experience in employee relations, business partnership, and leadership roles.8+ years of people leadership experience, including HR and leadership experience with a track record of managing, developing, mentoring, and empowering HR professionals.Labor relations experience is required, including managing union contracts, leading negotiations, and fostering positive, collaborative relationships with union representatives and legal counsel.Industry experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred, with food or CPG manufacturing experience highly desired.Expertise in handling complex employee relations matters, including diagnosing issues, negotiating workable solutions, and providing clear, concise reports to leadership at all levels.Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations, including FLSA, EEO, and labor compliance.Exceptional communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills to navigate complex situations effectively.Ability to build trust and foster strong partnerships across all levels of the organization, contributing to a positive workplace culture.Additional DetailsLocation: This role is based in Portland, Oregon.
