Real Estate ParalegalWe are seeking a skilled Real Estate Paralegal with over 5 years of experience to join a well-established Law Firm. The successful candidate will work closely with team members and clients, supporting all aspects of real estate transactions.Ideal Candidate:The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellent client service. A collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment are crucial. The candidate should have substantial experience in reviewing and analyzing title and survey documents, negotiating and preparing documents for title clearance, and handling sale, purchase, mortgage, and refinance transactions. Key experience includes:Representing condominium developers, including drafting condominium offering plans, amendments, and overseeing condominium unit closings.Acting as a transfer agent for cooperative housing corporations, with significant experience in real estate, condominiums, and co-op closings.Responsibilities:Assist attorneys with real estate transactions, including preparing contracts of sale, closing documents, and ACRIS transfer tax returns.Facilitate the sale of cooperative apartments by acting as a representative for apartment corporations in transfer agent duties.Obtain payoff letters and manage the transfer of underlying stock and lease for cooperative apartment resales.Draft backup documents and amendments for condominium offering plans, including the declaration of condominium, bylaws, certifications, and blue sky filings.Secure Department of Law "cloud links" and submit all required applications, such as offering plan amendments, no-action letters, and CPS-1 filings.Draft purchase agreements for condominium offerings and oversee the scheduling and coordination of all closings.Collaborate with legal teams and title companies to address and resolve title issues, ensure title clearance, and manage the scheduling of closings.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.Proficiency in drafting spreadsheets and embedding schedules in closing statements.Exceptional attention to detail, effective time management skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.A collaborative approach, with the ability to work well under pressure.Comfortable interacting with professionals at all levels, including senior management and colleagues across departments.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.This position is based in Brooklyn, NY
