Job Title: Technical Desktop Support (3 PM - 12 AM Shift)Location: New York, NYDuration: PermanentWe are seeking a skilled Technical Desktop Support professional to provide comprehensive technical assistance during the late shift (3 PM - 12 AM). This role involves addressing helpdesk requests after hours, managing tasks that require off-hours attention, and delivering top-tier support with minimal supervision. The candidate will work independently for most of the shift, with some overlap with the day team to ensure seamless transitions.Responsibilities:Provide technical support from 3 PM to 12 AM, working independently with occasional overlap with the day team.Respond promptly to helpdesk calls and emails, resolving technical issues effectively.Collaborate with other departments to address cross-functional IT needs.Complete tasks requiring off-hours attention, including user relocations and workstation setups.Contribute to IT projects and initiatives as needed.Participate in an on-call rotation every four weeks, including weekends.Knowledge and Skills:User Management: Active Directory and Exchange (on-prem/cloud) for account creation, updates, group memberships, mailboxes, and permissions.Hardware Support: Troubleshoot and maintain PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals; build and configure new workstations.Networking: Basic understanding of VLANs, TCP/IP, and network patching.Software Expertise: Proficiency in Windows, iOS, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe applications.Security: Handle suspicious emails, antivirus scans, adaptive security issues, and quarantined emails.Remote Access: Knowledge of VPNs and Remote Desktop tools.Telephony: Manage Cisco CCUM phone systems, user profiles, and lines.Applications: Familiarity with financial platforms like Bloomberg, Intex, and CapIQ is a plus.Premier Support: Capable of supporting partners and executives with high-level needs.Documentation: Ability to create and update technical documentation clearly and efficiently.
