Production/Product Developer

As a Production/Product Developer with The Moret Group, you will play a key role in overseeing production for a high-volume account in the mass-market space. You will have the opportunity to gain invaluable experience working with overseas teams and bolster your knowledge on the development and production process.Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross functional teams (Design, Tech Design, Production) to achieve product development/production milestones and resolve issues as they ariseCommunicate with factories dailyManage bulk fabric quality approvalsManage trim quality/color approvalsManage PP/TOP garment approvalsMaintain development and production books of fabrics and trim approvals for each seasonAssist in organizing samples in design showroomPrepare color cards and lab dip charts for internal and external useAssist in preparing pitch decks and samples for client presentations as neededMinimum Qualifications:Degree in fashion/apparel focus OR comparable knowledge/experienceKnowledgeable about fabric and garment constructionWorking knowledge of activewear market landscapeBasic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator requiredExcellent color vision/acuity requiredWorking knowledge of overseas product development processDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsSelf-sufficient and able to work independently or as part of a groupCreative problem solver and strategic thinkerPreferred Qualifications3+ years of experience in activewear product development3+ years of experience with overseas productionExperience with mass market price pointAdditional Information:This is a full-time opportunityThe position will be based in New York City - Midtown ManhattanHybrid - this position allows for one day a week of remote work (dependent on the needs of the week)
