Customer Experience Manager

VISION FOR THE ROLEWe are seeking a dynamic, welcoming and hospitality-focused experience manager to join our front desk team and help build something incredible from the ground up. The right person for this role has a proven track record of balancing guest satisfaction with operational efficiency, ideally with experience managing customer experience in a hybrid sports-social environment. Weekend availability and pickleball experience are required for the role.ABOUT PKLYNPKLYN is a pickleball club and community gathering place in Gowanus, Brooklyn. Our space includes 5 state-of-the-art pickleball courts, a lively bar, open workspaces, a merchandise store, and a vibrant atmosphere for pickleball players of all skill levels to come and enjoy.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIESServe as the primary point of contact for players and members of the clubManage all incoming customer communications, including in-person, phone, email, and social media (with the support of a social media team)Keep track of merchandise and inventoryCoordinate with/assist Events Director, Pickleball Director, and other team members as neededHelp maintain an orderly environment and assist with opening and closing SOPsDirect visitors and assist with check-ins, merchandise purchases, wayfinding, and the likeBonus if you're artistic and can draw our daily chalkboard signsAbility to take quality photos & videos to contribute to our marketing is a plusQUALIFICATIONSKnowledge/love of pickleball is necessaryAbility to work weekend shifts, as well as some weekday early morning and/or evening shiftsProven experience in front desk management or a similar role in a hospitality environment, preferably within a sports club or similar settingStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with members, players, and the rest of the PKLYN teamKnowledge of booking software and POS systems also a plus (we use CourtReserve and Toast)Excellent organizational and multitasking abilitiesGreat problem-solving skills and keen attention to detailA natural salespersonCOMPENSATION & BENEFITSThis is a part-time hourly position that starts at $21.50-$24/hour, commensurate with experience.TO APPLYPlease email jobs@ and include "PKLYN experience manager" in the subject lineTo be considered, you must include:Your resumeA brief introduction or cover letterYour favorite animal (don't overthink it) (or do?)
