This position melds together true hospitality, detail-oriented planning, and leadership and requires a passion for community.Responsibilities:Community Engagement and Support:Collaborate with partners and key stakeholders to understand our Brooklyn community's needs, build high-touch relationships, and align on goals and initiatives.Serve as an advocate for communities that call Fabrik BK home, ensuring their needs and feedback are considered in operations and beyond.Monitor and respond to questions, feedback, and concerns promptly and professionally.Encourage participation in discussions, events, and activities.Community Operations:Create a warm and welcoming environment both aesthetically and in everyday interactions. One that feels more like your living room than an office.Coordinate logistics, including scheduling, guest speaker invitations, and gathering promotion for Fabrik and Community sponsored events.Own full scope of programs, gatherings and experiences: planning, coordination, and facilitation, in collaboration and alignment with the Fabrik team.Manage gathering registration, attendance tracking, and post-gathering follow-up. Collaborate with marketing to promote and communicate with Fabrik stakeholders.Manage Community Gathering Facilitators and Fabrik ambassadorsMeasurement and Reporting:Define metrics and analytics to measure the effectiveness of community engagement efforts.Track and analyze metrics, identifying trends and actions.Report community growth, engagement, and satisfaction.Analyze and communicate the impact of the engagement and strategies to relevant stakeholders.Use data and insights to inform engagement strategy and planning, as well as marketing and outreach.It would be great if you consider yourself:Solutions-Oriented: Quickly identify and address challenges, adapting strategies and approaches as needed to achieve desired outcomes.Results-Oriented: Drive measurable impact within the community, such as increased engagement, member satisfaction, and community growth.Action-Oriented: Take initiative, drive projects forward, and consistently deliver results.Resourceful and Adaptable: Thrive in a dynamic startup environment, making the most of limited resources and adapting to changing circumstances.A Leader: Take ownership of responsibilities, projects, and initiatives, demonstrating a strong sense of accountability and ownership for work.RequirementsBased in Brooklyn or greater New York City2+ years of experience in community management or a related field.Ability to lift 30+ poundsA natural connector with a strong network Flexibility to work unstructured hours.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships and create a welcoming environment.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.Experience with event planning and coordination.Familiarity with community platforms.Familiarity with Luma, Slack, HubSpot, and Asana preferred.Ability to problem solve quickly and iterate on the fly.Empathy and understanding of community members' needs and wants.Apply Now:If you're passionate about bringing people together, organized, and thrive in an early-stage startup environment, we want to hear from you!
