We are seeking an experienced PHY Post-silicon/Firmware System Engineer to join our team. This role involves hands-on work with silicon bring-up and productization, focusing on PHY systems, especially SerDes and DDR. The ideal candidate will have strong firmware development experience, including the implementation and validation of PHY calibrationadaptation, and training algorithmsKey responsibilities include testing, validation, debugging, data collection, analysis, and running system simulations to ensure silicon performance. You will also be involved in firmware coding, system updates, and resolving post-silicon issues.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic, cutting-edge technology environment within the semiconductor industry.Key Responsibilities:Silicon Bring-Up and ProductizationAssist in the bring-up process and transition from silicon prototypes to final productization.PHY Calibration and AdaptationImplement and validate algorithms for PHY calibrationadaptation, and training to ensure system performance meets required specifications.Testing & Data AnalysisConduct thorough testing, collect data, and perform detailed analysis to identify system behavior and potential improvements.System Simulations and CorrelationRun system-level simulations and compare results with actual silicon to verify functionality and performance.Firmware Development & UpdatesWrite, update, and maintain firmware to ensure smooth integration and functionality of PHY systems.DebuggingApply strong debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve post-silicon issues and firmware-related problems.Experience and Skills:Essential Skills:Strong PHY ExperienceDeep understanding of PHY systems with SerDes and DDR technologies.Firmware SkillsProven experience in firmware development, including version management and working with tools like GitCoding ExpertiseProficiency in C and Python for coding, with a strong ability to implement algorithms and debug firmware.Post-Silicon DebugExtensive experience in debugging complex post-silicon issues, especially in high-speed digital designs.Testing & ValidationAbility to conduct thorough testing, data collection, and analysis for silicon validation.Preferred Skills:MatlabFamiliarity with using Matlab for data analysis and modeling.System VerilogExperience with System Verilog for simulation and verification.Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI)Familiarity with the concepts of signal and power integrity for high-speed digital designs.Education & Experience:Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.8-10 years of relevant experience in PHYfirmware, and post-silicon design/validation.This role provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of semiconductor innovation, with an emphasis on product development, silicon validation, and system-level problem solving.
