Our client is a globally known high-end womenswear line based in Miami, Florida. Our client is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Pattern Maker, specialized in marking and grading, to join its high-performing Atelier.This pattern maker will work closely with the Design, Production and Atelier teams in a fast-paced environment to develop approved production patterns. The ideal candidate will have proven success in apparel patternmaking and design environment or in a related field. This role will report to the Atelier Manager.Relocation assistance to Miami offered. Full time and on-site position only.Key Accountabilities: Create, apply and maintain digital grading and altering rules for each style.Maintain all standards in regards to grading, construction, how-to-measure, and other procedures.Actively collaborate with design department, other pattern maker and assistant, and the rest of the Atelier team.Work closely with pattern maker, fabric and design teams on fabric widths, length, layout... etc.Manipulate grades as needed to create clean and visually easy-to-follow patterns.Create computerized markers (using Gerber Accumark) for every style, as Atelier completes new garments. Ensure the best layout of pattern pieces to maintain a low cost on material and minimize waste of material.Monitor garment and fabric shrinkage.Update patterns in accordance to brand requirements and fittings. Maintain fit standards and related technical information.Organize marker files in corresponding collections.Identify problems and/or opportunities, make recommendations and implement solutions that improve quality of garment development.Make all necessary revisions to pattern based on fit notes ensuring pattern is fully balanced, with all proper labeling and pattern indications.Weekly fittings with fit model, making sure that pattern is matching production pattern. Ensure that all points of measure are coherent and garments fits correctly.Complete all assignments timely and accurately.Key Requirements:5 years of pattern making experience, in women's apparel.Proficiency in Gerber systems preferred.Knowledge of pattern, fabrics, construction, and fit standards.Experience with marking, grading and alterations.Must be an expert in sizing & fit, with a sharp eye for detail and design.Must work well under pressure in a high stress environment. Ability to work under tight deadlines and flexibility to work occasional week-ends and evening based on the needs of the business.
