Position SummaryThe Director of Aftermarket Parts and Sales is a senior leadership role responsible for developing and executing the strategy for the aftermarket parts and sales division within the organization. This role involves overseeing the sales, marketing, and distribution of aftermarket parts, while driving growth, improving customer satisfaction, and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and dealers. The ideal candidate will possess deep industry knowledge, strong leadership abilities, and a proven track record in aftermarket parts sales and business development.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:Develop and implement the overall strategy for aftermarket parts sales, focusing on both short-term and long-term business growth.Oversee pricing strategies, product offerings, and margin management to optimize profitability across product lines.Sales & Revenue Growth:Manage and drive the sales and revenue growth of the aftermarket parts business, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded.Collaborate with the sales team and other departments (such as marketing and product development) to design effective sales campaigns, promotions, and product launches.Team Leadership & Development:Lead and mentor a high-performing team of aftermarket sales professionals, including inside sales representatives, account managers, and support staff.Build a customer-centric culture within the team, emphasizing the importance of responsiveness, quality service, and proactive relationship management.Customer and Dealer Relations:Maintain strong relationships with key customers, distributors, and dealers to ensure high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.Act as a key point of contact for large or high-value customer accounts, addressing their needs and resolving any issues or challenges.Supply Chain and Inventory Management:Collaborate with the supply chain and logistics teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely delivery of aftermarket parts.Oversee demand forecasting, inventory management, and order fulfillment to meet customer expectations and minimize stockouts or excess inventory.Marketing & Product Development:Work closely with the whole goods sales department to create and execute promotional campaigns for aftermarket parts, including digital marketing, trade shows, and print media.Financial Management:Prepare and manage the annual budget for the aftermarket division, ensuring that financial goals are met and expenditures are controlled.Analyze sales data, profit margins, and return on investment (ROI) for aftermarket parts and propose strategies for improving profitability. Manage P&L for branch locations and ensure goals are met within budget frameworkQualifications:Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. (MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred)A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in aftermarket sales or parts management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.Extensive knowledge of aftermarket parts, product lifecycle management, and distribution channels.Skills & Abilities:Leadership and People Management: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Sales Expertise: Strong sales acumen and the ability to close high-value deals and grow a business segment.Customer-Centric Mindset: Ability to build and nurture long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess sales data, financial reports, and market trends to make informed decisions.Tech-Savvy: Proficient in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems, and other business-related software.Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term and align business strategies with company goals and market conditions.Personal Attributes:Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and tactically.Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.A proactive, self-driven individual with a passion for driving growth in the aftermarket sector.Work Environment:Office-based with some travel required for customer meetings, industry events, and supplier negotiations.Collaborative and fast-paced environment requiring cross-functional teamwork and interaction with various departments within the organization.Compensation:Competitive salary based on experience.Performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plans.
