Genzeon empowers retail enterprises with multichannel IT solutions that deliver a personalized experience for consumers.Genzeon has an exciting opening for Data Engineer with Snowflakes to join our team.Data Engineer with SnowflakesContractLocation: Chicago, IL (Only local profiles will be considered)Must be available for in person interview and work 3-5days a week onsite.Description: You will play a developer role in building data pipelines and data model for the Snowflake based data warehouse as a service. You will work directly with highly technical architects, productmanagers and business users for implementing their requirements. You will explore and select technologies that will lay the foundation for new features in the product. You must have hands-onexperience building data pipelines and data models in Snowflake. You must have in-depth knowledge of SQL and JavaScript. You should have a broad background in application development and datamodelling. You must have ability to work in agile environment and use metadata driven design patterns.ResponsibilitiesDevelop automated data pipelines and data stores in Snowflake. This includes designing, implementing, testing, debugging, and deploying.Build metadata driven solution that is reusable and highly configurable.Automate testing and deployment in Snowflake across Azure.Partner with business analysts to groom stories and implement those stories.Work on an agile team to quickly iterate and release solutions.Provide technical advice and assist end-users in solving problems.Continuously learn new skills and make improvement in the product.Qualifications Experience and SkillsMinimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MIS or related degree and 3+ years of related experience.In depth knowledge of Snowflake o SQL o Javascript o Data Vault 2.0 or Dimensional Data ModelExperience with o Data Pipelines, ELT or ETL o Relational or Columnar databases o Sigma reporting or Power BI or Tableau o Agile methodologies, Scrum or Kanban NTAC:3NS-20 o CI/CD pipeline o Azure cloud services.Experience with one or more of below is desirableo Alteryx o Python o DBT o Confluence and ADOFamiliarity with buy-side financial operations and an understanding of related concepts (Portfolio Management, Security Master, Risk, Compliance, Accounting).Competencies Analysis: Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.Communication: Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.Exercising Judgment and Decision MakingUse effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent withavailable facts, constraints, and probable consequences.Technical and Professional Knowledge: Demonstrate a high level of technical and professional skill or knowledge; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.Building Effective Relationships: Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.Client Focus: Make internal and external clients and their needs a primary focus of actions; develop and sustain productive client relationships
