As an Assistant Fashion Merchandiser, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the merchandising team in the selection, planning, and promotion of Jude Connally products. You will assist in the management of stock levels, analysis of sales trends, and ensure the timely delivery of monthly deliveries that meet the company's goals and customer preferences. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the product mix, increasing sales, and maintaining a competitive edge in the fashion retail market.Key Responsibilities:Product Selection & Planning:Assist in the planning and selection of seasonal fashion collections based on market trends, customer insights, and sales data.Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify new product opportunities and trends.Collaborate with the buying team to ensure that product offerings align with customer demand and seasonal expectations.Accurately input monthly orders into the system, ensuring all details are complete and correct.Sales Analysis & Reporting:Analyze sales reports and inventory data to monitor product performance, identify best-sellers, and spot slow-moving items.Style size analysis to ensure accurate inventory. Assist in the preparation of sales reports and presentations for management meetings.Inventory Management:Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of popular items and maintain efficient inventory turnover.Product Imports & Data Entry:Accurately upload new product information, inventory management, and imagery into shopify.Ensure product descriptions, specifications, and pricing are accurate.Photoshoot Coordinate and organize styles for style-out meetings based on a provided shot list, ensuring all items are accurately prepared and accounted for.Travel to location shoots to oversee logistics, ensuring all materials and resources are in place for a smooth execution.Manage pre-shoot preparation, including packing, styling, and checklist verification, and handle post-shoot tasks such as unpacking, prop returns, inventory reconciliation.Skills & Qualifications:Education:A degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Design, Retail Management, Business, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent work experience may be considered.Experience:Previous experience in fashion retail, merchandising, or buying is advantageous, but entry-level candidates with relevant internships or academic projects may also be considered.Strong understanding of current fashion trends and the retail industry.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Soft Skills:Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret sales data to make informed decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Working Conditions:Full-time, Monday to Friday in the New Jersey office.Travel is required for photoshoots. Occasional travel for store visits, trade shows, or vendor meetings.Compensation:Salary $55K-$65K BOE, 401K, Medical & Dental, Paid Vacation
