Financial Analyst

Job Title: Financial AnalystLocation: Hybrid (New York City, NY)Duration: 11+ months (with potential to extend)Pay Rate: $45-50/Hour on W2Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Analyze and work with large sets of financial data, focusing on mortgage-backed securities and other structured debt instruments.Conduct waterfall cash-flow modeling and bond math analysis.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the data is processed accurately and efficiently.Use Excel to create detailed financial models and reports.Review structured debt transactions and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Assist with the preparation and presentation of financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.Required Skills / Experience:Basic knowledge of mortgage-backed securities (MBS, RESEC, CMBS, MILN, etc.).Working knowledge of bond math and waterfall cash-flow modeling.Strong desire to analyze large datasets and apply quantitative methods.Preferred Skills / Experience:Working knowledge of Python and R for financial modeling and analysis.Familiarity with financial data visualization and reporting tools.Education Requirements:BA/BS degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.Preferred: BA/BS degree in Math or Computer Science.Software Skills Required:Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including financial modeling, advanced formulas, etc.).ThanksDrishtiLancesoft Inc.
