This role is ideal for someone passionate about advocating for childhood cancer research, managing donor relationships, and implementing innovative fundraising strategies. The Development Manager is key in increasing support from individuals, corporations, local businesses, and community groups across Nashville and Tennessee.Responsibilities:The Development Manager is responsible for managing and developing relationships, coordinating fundraising initiatives, and achieving revenue goals.Key duties include:Development and Fundraising:· Fundraising Strategy: Implement strategies and plans to achieve revenue goals through major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation grants, and donor stewardship.· Donor Engagement: Cultivate and maintain relationships through calls, meetings, mailings, and events.· Corporate Partnerships: Expand partnerships with a results-driven sponsorship approach.· Event Management: Collaborate with Rally's events team to execute fundraising events and campaigns.· Leadership Collaboration: Work with the Leadership Board to implement their plans.· Community Outreach: Partner with the Young Professionals program to engage local businesses and groups.· Major Donor Development: Identify and secure major donors.· External Engagement: Direct corporate outreach and lead committees.Revenue Growth: Explore and develop new funding opportunities.Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:The successful candidate will demonstrate the following qualities:· Relationship Builder: Skilled at building trust and inspiring others.· Proactive: Self-starter with a can-do attitude.· Creative: Open to innovative fundraising solutions.· Organized: Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced setting.· Leader: Enthusiastic motivational leadership skills.· Communicative: Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities.· Team Player: Collaborative and mission-driven.Detail-Oriented: Maintains professionalism and high standards.Qualifications:· Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or related field.· 3-5 years in fundraising, campaign management, or nonprofit leadership.· Proven success in securing funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations.· Experience in donor cultivation, event planning, and stewardship.· Strong project management and adaptability.· Proficient in Microsoft Office; Salesforce or CRM experience is a plus.· Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.· Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.Reports To:Director of DevelopmentWork Environment:This is a full-time position (40 hours/week) based in Nashville, with occasional travel and event support outside standard hours.To Apply:Please apply online or send a cover letter and resume to jobs@.
