Principal Engineer

Principal Civil Engineer - RoadwaySouthstar | DCCM has an immediate opening for an experienced Principal Civil Engineer - Roadway to oversee Capital Improvement Program construction projects for our public agency clients. The full-time hybrid position (remote and job site) will be filled in out of our Riverside office and require travel to serve our clients throughout the region.Successful Principal Civil Engineer - Roadway Candidates Should Have:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering15 +years relevant civil engineering experience5+ years as a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in California10+ years of Project Management experience on roadway projects in all facets of public works Experience managing municipal or public-sector projects (state, county, city, and federal).Ability to develop productive, long-term relationships and communicate with clients, peers, multi-disciplinary teams, and managementProven comprehensive plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) delivery experienceProject management experience, including developing scopes of work, reviewing invoices, and managing client communicationsAbility to manage several subconsultants and internal staff on a multi-disciplinary teamDesign and construction support experience with transportation projectsPrior consulting experience managing municipal (state, county, city) projectsProficient with MS Office and AutoCAD Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communications skillsProficient with Deltek Vantagepoint (highly preferred)Benefits: Southstar | DCCM offers a highly competitive compensation package based on experience.
