As Corporate Development Associate at Flynn Group LP, the candidate reports directly to the Director of Corporate Development to assist in all elements of the investment process including acquisition modeling, due diligence, business and market analysis, deal negotiation, and capital markets transactions. For information on the principals and Flynn Group, please visit Development AssociateThe position will be an integral part of the six-person corporate development team, tasked with executing the company's acquisition growth strategy through financial modeling and planning, data analysis and due diligence. This role will be an opportunity to work very closely with senior company executives, private equity sponsor representatives, banks, and other capital providers.Specific tasks will include, but are not limited to:Acquisition Analysis& Due DiligencePrepare and maintain underwriting models for potential acquisition targetsAnalyze unit-level and consolidated financial statements for acquisition targetsAssess financial statement integrity of target companiesAssist in due diligence efforts between accounting, finance, human resources, IT and purchasing departments for all acquisitionsConduct capital structure scenario and returns analysesContract Negotiation & Deal ManagementSupport purchase agreement, credit agreement, and franchisor negotiations for investmentsQuarterback deal process and liaise with external counsel, bankers, consultants, and accountantsAssist in coordinating all aspects of acquisition integrationFinancial Planning &AnalysisDevelop and maintain complex forecast and valuation models for Flynn and its partners in coordination with our FP&A teamPrepare presentation materials for the Board of Directors, lenders and equity investorsQualifications1-3 years in investment banking, private equity, consulting, corporate development, FP&A or similar finance experienceStrong financial, analytical and valuation skillsAdvanced Excel and financial modeling skillsSolid understanding of financial statements and basic accounting standardsA good understanding of capital structure alternativesAbove all else, a highly organized self-starter with a positive, team-oriented attitude, and a good sense of humor.
