Choose Creativity empowers children and adults to build resilience and creative confidence through our Learn with Creative Confidence (LwCC) school day and after-school programs. LwCC is based on the 10 Principles of Creativity. Through professional development, we train individuals to implement each component of LwCC and bring the language of the 10 Principles to their work with students, and their own lives. To learn more about our organization and the exciting work we do, visit The Lulu & Leo Fund is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Job Overview:Choose Creativity is seeking an experienced Professional Development Facilitator to lead impactful and engaging professional development sessions for elementary school staff on our LwCC curriculum. This is an independent contractor position.What You'll Do:Lead LwCC professional development workshops for educators Clearly communicate and articulate LwCC content and messaging throughout PD workshopConduct NYC based school site visits monthly to support the implementation of LwCC Help school staff customize program for English Language LearnersWork collaboratively with the Program Manager to prepare and present an engaging and effective workshop for school staffFacilitate family workshops with parents, caregivers, and students in SpanishArrive early to all school visits and events to ensure all materials, food, and technology are in placeSupport the evaluation process cycle by ensuring surveys are completedComplete and communicate post PD and site visit reports within specified time frameWho You Are:Bilingual in speaking and writing English and SpanishAdvocate for creative education and social, emotional, and academic growth in studentsMaster's degree in education preferredAt least 5 years of teaching experience at various grade levelsSuperior and creative presentation and facilitation abilities including: clear, focused communication; ability to motivate and engage K-6 educators; manage timePrevious involvement in leadership roles in school and districtExceptional written and verbal communication skillsFlexible scheduleWhat We Love: Building-level administrative experience (e.g. Principal or Assistant Principal)Knowledge of effective family/caregiver school engagement strategies Experience developing an inclusive and positive educational setting for adults and studentsInstructional coaching experience for adultsKnowledge of current research and pedagogy in various content areas
