Job Description: Senior Interior Designer (High-End Workplace Design)Location: New York City, NYPosition Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced and talented Senior Interior Designer to join our dynamic, high-end commercial workplace design studio in New York City. The ideal candidate will bring a strong design sensibility, technical expertise, and proven leadership in delivering exceptional corporate workplace and commercial interior design projects. This role requires a deep understanding of workplace design trends, proficiency in Revit, and a collaborative approach to working within a fast-paced and innovative team environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design process from concept through completion for high-end office spaces, lobbies, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and amenity spaces.Develop innovative and functional design solutions that align with client objectives, brand identity, and project budgets.Collaborate with project architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure cohesive and integrated design solutions.Manage and mentor junior and intermediate designers, fostering growth and professional development within the team.Oversee the preparation of design presentations, including mood boards, material samples, and 3D visualizations.Prepare and review detailed construction documents and specifications with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance with local codes and regulations.Lead client presentations and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate and select finishes, materials, furniture, and fixtures that reflect the project's design intent.Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and successful project delivery.Qualifications:A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.A minimum of 8 years of professional interior design experience, with at least 5 years specializing in corporate workplace and commercial interior design in the New York City market.Proven expertise in high-end office design, including lobbies, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and amenity spaces.Advanced proficiency in Revit is required; proficiency in additional design tools (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture systems, and lighting for workplace environments.Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing project teams and mentoring designers.Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with a client-centric approach.Strong project management skills, including budget and schedule management.In-depth knowledge of New York City building codes and regulations.Ability to work legally in the United States without visa sponsorship.Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based incentives.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.401(k) retirement plan with company match.Professional development opportunities and support for continuing education.A collaborative, creative, and supportive studio culture.
