The Special Education Teacher will work closely with students, parents, and school staff to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that support the educational goals of students. This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, with salary determined by the district's pay schedule.Job Duties Include:Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special education needsProvide direct instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one, depending on their needsAssess students' abilities and progress, adapting instructional techniques as necessaryWork collaboratively with other teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure the success of studentsMonitor and document student progress, making adjustments to lesson plans and interventions as necessaryCommunicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns or needsMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of student performance, behavior, and IEP documentationProvide support to students in both academic and social-emotional developmentEnsure compliance with all state and local regulations regarding special education servicesSupport and assist with transition planning for students as they prepare for post-school lifeActively participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school eventsRequirements:Active Special Education Teacher certification or licensure as required by the state of CaliforniaExperience working with special education students and families is highly preferredStrong knowledge of special education laws, policies, and best practicesAbility to develop and implement IEPs and provide differentiated instructionExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPassionate about supporting students with diverse needs and ensuring their successMust pass all required background checks and screeningsCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary starting at $54,750, with salary determined by the district's pay scheduleTraditional full-time benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and moreOpportunities for professional development and continued growthHow to Apply:Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
