Role : IT Support EngineerLocation : Bay Area, CA. ( On- Site)Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides technical support to end users by answering questions, troubleshooting problems, and maintaining workstation software stack and performance.Help desk support frequently asked questions/tasks details writing and maintaining documentation.Generates help desk tickets and document all support request issues and resolutions, monitors open tickets, provides update status to users.Creates/maintains computer software inventory and assists with the database for the computer refresh schedule.Maintains central file for licenses for software, computer hardware and related peripheralsTroubleshoots and installs computer hardware and software programs.Build new systems and ship to onboarding usersDefault OS image configuration for new System EnrollmentsFollow up ad collect old/terminated user equipment, erase, cleanup , rebuild and repurposeUser onboarding and offboarding managementManaging devices using MDM stack like JAMF and IntuneUser roles management using Okta, Azure and AWSServer hardware rack and stack, cabling and OS installationManage Asset recordsManage lab servers and systems - includes : general hardware/software install, setup and maintenanceManage Help Desk tickets in a timely mannerRespond to customer issues via phone, email and computerFollow up and maintain compliance requirements tasks under IT stackKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesExperience in troubleshooting computer software and hardware problemsExperience working in a help desk environmentProficiency with Microsoft OS, Mac OS, Linux Ubuntu OS - install and basic configuration is mustWorking knowledge with OKTA, JAMF, Azure, INTUNE is mustWorking knowledge with MS PowerShell , JAMF scripting is mustWorking knowledge with WiFi configurationWorking knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Zoom, Teams, Slack , Mac OSWorking knowledge of desktop/laptop/mac systems backup and restoreBasic hardware repair knowledge like replace battery, memory and hard disks in laptop and serversFamiliar with diagnostics tools to identify and resolve reported issuesData Center work experience is plus Knowledge with Network stack - Ethernet/Fiber/POE / VLAN is plusKnowledge with RAID configuration is plusScripting language knowledge in PowerShell, Linux Shell, Python is a plus
