Backed by partnerships with leading OEMs, we are committed to expanding our services nationwide to better serve the growing EV community.Job Summary:LAGAS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and skilled Electric Vehicle (EV) Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will diagnose, repair, and maintain electric vehicles, ensuring they perform at their best. The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in automotive repair, expertise in EV systems, and a strong dedication to safety and high-quality service.Key Responsibilities:? Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in electric vehicles, including electrical, mechanical, and software systems.? Perform routine maintenance, such as battery inspections, cooling system checks, and software updates.? Repair and replace EV components, such as electric motors, inverters, chargers, and high-voltage batteries.? Test and calibrate EV systems using specialized diagnostic equipment and tools.? Maintain detailed records of service, repairs, and maintenance performed.? Ensure compliance with safety standards, including proper handling of high-voltage components.? Collaborate with other team members and manufacturers to address complex repair issues.? Stay updated on new EV technologies, systems, and repair techniques.? Customer relationship management ? Selling ? Innovative thinking and new ideasQualifications:? High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in automotive technology is preferred.? Proven experience as an automotive technician; EV-specific experience is a strong advantage.? Knowledge of electric vehicle systems, including batteries, drivetrains, and charging infrastructure.? Familiarity with diagnostic tools and software used in EV maintenance and repair? Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.? Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.? Ownership mindsetPhysical Requirements? Ability to lift heavy components and work in various physical positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.? Comfort working in environments with high-voltage systems.Compensation:? The salary range for this position is ... annually, depending on experience and qualifications. ? Compensation for this role starts at $25/hour, with the potential to earn up to $40/hour based on experience. ? This position offers a pay range of $25-$40/hour, commensurate with skills and experience. ? Range is inclusive of performance based bonuses.?
