URGENT NEED FOR THIS SATURDAY 1/11 AND SUNDAY 1/12Our SRT tech just cancelled, and we are in need of someone who knows how to operate the Sunsus Healthcare SRT-100 machine for Saturday and Sunday this weekend, $100 per hour compensation.Job SummaryLexington Plastic Surgeons is expanding its team to include a compassionate and experienced Radiation Therapist, specifically SRT (superficial radiation therapy with the Sensus Healthcare SRT 100). In this role, you will contribute to our commitment to comprehensive patient care by providing radiation therapy services in conjunction with plastic and reconstructive surgeries. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, empathy, and a dedication to ensuring the well-being of our patients throughout their treatment journey.Part Time / Per DiemResponsibilitiesCollaborative Planning:Collaborate with plastic surgeons and NPs to develop treatment plans complementing surgical interventions.Ensure seamless coordination between radiation therapy and plastic surgery procedures.Treatment Administration:Administer SRT radiation therapy treatments according to prescribed plans, ensuring precise and accurate delivery.Monitor patient responses to treatment, providing support and addressing concerns.Patient Education:Educate patients on the radiation therapy process, potential side effects, and the integration with plastic surgery procedures.Foster a supportive and informative environment for patients and their families.Equipment Operation:Operate and maintain SRT radiation therapy equipment, collaborating with the medical physics team to ensure quality assurance.Implement safety protocols and adhere to regulatory standards.Documentation:Maintain thorough and accurate records of treatment sessions, patient responses, and any observed side effects.Complete necessary documentation for billing, compliance, and quality assurance purposes.Continuous Improvement:Stay abreast of advancements in radiation therapy and plastic surgery through ongoing education and training.Contribute to quality improvement initiatives within the department.QualificationsCurrent and valid state licensure as a Radiation Therapist.Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy or related field.Experience in coordinating radiation therapy with surgical interventions is a plus.Strong technical skills and knowledge of radiation therapy equipment.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
