Senior Finance Manager

Are you a Finance Manager with global manufacturing experience who lives in the Bay Area and looking for a hybrid role?We are working with a life sciences company that is seeking a Finance Manager who will be responsible for providing financial support to different functional groups and assisting the Finance Director in budgeting, planning, financial analysis, management reporting, capital expenditure modeling and in the improvement of the finance systems and processes. Experience with product costing and inventory is under this person's purview. Hybrid schedule in Berkeley, CAResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain robust product costing models that accurately reflect the cost of goods sold for the life sciences productsAnalyze and report on variances between actual and expected costs, including identifying and explaining root causes of variancesMonitor and report on inventory aging, slow-moving inventory, and excess inventory, and work with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to mitigate risks and optimize inventory levelsWork closely with the product development team to ensure accurate and timely cost estimates for new productsCollaborate with the sales team to develop pricing strategies that are consistent with product cost structures and market conditionsPartner with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements related to product cost and inventoryQualificationsBachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred4+ years of relevant finance experience, including product cost analysis, inventory management, and financial reportingManufacturing or Life sciences industry experienceSAP Experience
