( Will not accept third party applicants)Corporate IT Accounting team at a leading investment manager in NYC is seeking an experienced technical business analyst / SQL developer with strong SQL database and financial data analysis experience to drive and manage the successful execution of key projects across the team. The role requires mobilizing cross-functional teams towards agreed-upon goals, showcasing key benefits, and overseeing and reporting progress on projects.Responsibilities:Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and Analyze business processes and identify areas for improvement.Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of projects.Conduct data analysis to support business decisions.Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases and database objects (tables, views, indexes, stored procedures, functions, etc.)Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other techniques.Collaborate with application team to design and implement database schemas and structures.Ensure data integrity and security through proper design and implementation of database constraints and permissions.Develop and maintain ETL processes to integrate data from various sources.Develop Power BI dashboards and SSRS reports.Qualifications/Skills:A bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related technical field.At least 7 years of proven experience as an SQL Developer and Business Analysis.Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and stored procedures.Experience with data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, SSRS, Power BI).Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial data analysis.Experience in Infor / Lawson financials is a plusAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Strong organizational, multitasking and multi-focus skills.
