Who We Are ?Kwenda Collegiate Girls is a public, tuition-free, feminist K-8 girls' school that reimagines public education with girls and gender non-conforming youth at the center.Our school was born out of two values - love and liberation for BIPOC girl-identifying and young women (inclusive of trans and gender non-conforming youth). We believe our kids deserve safe spaces of affirmation, rigor, and healing - that raise them up to be autonomous decision-makers in their own lives.We are a slow growth school opening our doors in Brooklyn, NY in Fall 2025 to students in kindergarten and first grade.Where You'll Come In ??We're seeking passionate and dedicated K-1 teachers to join our founding team. As a K-1 teacher at Kwenda Collegiate Girls, you'll be at the forefront of shaping young minds and setting the foundation for lifelong learning. We're looking for educators who are excited about inquiry-based and play-based learning approaches and are ready to create a vibrant, inclusive classroom environment. As a start-up, our team is lean, nimble, and tight-knit. We're looking for folks who want to get in on the ground floor of what we believe is the future of education in the name of gender justice.
