System Operations Engineer | Allied Resources Technical Consultants About the Position: Allied Resources is looking for a System Operations Engineer for an exciting Full-time opportunity with a forward thinking and innovative energy company headquartered in Allentown, PA. Job Responsibilities:Assess and manage the operational status of transmission, distribution, and substation equipment within Electric Utility systems. Document maintenance and emergent work activities, including system issues, and promptly report significant problems or customer interruptions.Coordinate the preparation of complex single and three-phase switching and tagging activities to support maintenance or restoration efforts. Maintain awareness of ongoing jobs to ensure safety for field crews and the public.Analyze load transfers on distribution and transmission systems to prevent overload damage and minimize customer downtime.Enhance the accuracy of operational tools by continually revising primary operating maps, static map boards, computer models, and Operating Instructions.Execute Emergency Load Control Procedures independently to maintain system integrity during emergencies, including firm load shedding.Direct activities of Distribution Operations, Relay Test, and other departments through effective communication and clear understanding of work orders.Provide guidance and training to less-experienced Operators or Dispatchers and serve as a resource for colleagues.
