Our client, a top-tier Big Law firm, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Associate Director of Legal Personnel to join their extraordinarily successful Corporate M&A group. This individual will play a critical role in shaping career development, performance management, and overall growth of attorneys within the group. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated attorney with 7-10 years of law firm experience, who is looking to leverage their skills and experience into a personnel management and operational leadership role.The Associate Director responsibilities include designing and implementing structured career development programs tailored to the Corporate M&A group; Will advise attorneys on career trajectories, including progression within the firm and long-term professional goals; Will oversee the performance evaluation process for attorneys within the group, ensuring timely and constructive feedback; Collaborate with partners to identify and address performance challenges while fostering an environment of continuous improvement; Design and execute mentorship programs to support associate growth and retention.The ideal candidate will also develop, communicate, and enforce policies related to attorney work allocation, professional conduct, and compliance within the group; Ensure adherence to firm-wide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; Lead efforts to streamline processes and establish best practices across the group. Additionally the Associate Director will manage attorney staffing needs for the Corporate M&A group, ensuring balanced workloads and efficient utilization of resources; Collaborate with partners to assess project requirements and align staffing decisions with business objectives; Use data-driven approaches to optimize staffing and improve operational efficiencies Work closely with the firm's Legal Personnel, Human Resources, and Professional Development teams to align group-specific initiatives with firm-wide goals.JD required, preferably from a top 25 law school, with 7-10 years of law firm experience, with substantial time spent practicing in Corporate M&A or a related field. Demonstrated understanding of law firm operations, including attorney career progression, client service expectations, and professional development needs also required. Compensation includes salary ($200K-$225K++) plus bonus and an exceptional benefits package.
