Transportation and Aviation Paralegal - New York, New York LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a Transportation and Space Paralegal to work in a firm that has a background in transportation and aviation. The ideal Candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a similar role. The candidate will have experience in this practice matter. The candidate will be responsible for heavy record review, conducting legal research, e-filing in state and federal courts, UCC filings, EDGAR filings, drafting legal documents, drafting routine correspondence, managing case files, and Court calendars. ResponsibilitiesReview voluminous legal documents, draft pleadings, routine legal documents (discovery documents and motions), e-filing in Courts and conduct legal researchCreate and maintain case files and attorney and Court Calendar/Docket as neededMaintain case files and maintain valued relationshipsCoordinate workflow and assignments within the practiceMentor and guide new legal assistants/paralegals Conduct research, maintain working group lists, and organize due diligence documentsDraft form documents, correspondence, and letters to clients/counselAssist with UCC filings, lien searches, and compliance with Article 9 regulationsPrepare formation documents, assist with deal closings, and review legal documentsOrganize closing sets and assist with EDGAR filing processNotarize documents and assist with document authenticationQualificationsFour college degree required - Bachelor's degreeAt least 5 years of aviation-related experienceStrong communication, organizational, and client service skillsAbility to manage multiple projects with minimal supervisionProficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe AcrobatMust be Notary Public or willing to become one within the first 6 months of employment Excellent Written and Oral skills and must be an effective communicatorBenefitsThis posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients.
