Job Title: Workstation Support Analyst ILocation: Jackson, MIDuration: 12+ months Contract Job Overview:The Build Technician/Device Deployment Technician is responsible for the seamless setup, deployment, and delivery of new PCs to internal customers. This role plays a critical part in the asset refresh process, ensuring that devices are configured and delivered according to a regular schedule. The technician will collaborate closely with the Refresh Coordinators to facilitate the timely receipt, distribution, and transfer of PCs. Additionally, this role will focus on ensuring that internal customers have all necessary tools, including software, to operate effectively following a refresh.Key Responsibilities:PC Setup and Delivery: Ensure that PCs are online, configured, and ready to be logged into daily by internal customers.Logistics and Shipping: Prepare UPS shipments for daily dispatch of equipment to internal customers and set up lockers for Business Partners to collect or return equipment.Asset Management: Check in returned PCs and decommission old hardware. Maintain inventory and organization of hardware orders in the build room.Ticket Management: Update and move replacement tickets through the process and maintain accurate Build Tech tracking spreadsheets.Collaboration: Work with internal business partners to ensure devices are set up with the appropriate software and configurations.Teamwork: Collaborate with the Build Tech team to process and complete tickets in a timely manner.Inventory Control: Ensure that all incoming hardware is checked and properly tracked for future use or distribution.Onsite Presence: Travel to other Consumers Energy locations may be required to ensure proper device setup and troubleshooting.Skills & Qualifications:Analytical Thinking: Ability to assess and troubleshoot technical issues with a focus on delivering practical solutions.Strong Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and team members.Customer-Centric: Operate in a results-oriented manner, providing dependable and reliable customer service at all times.Organizational Skills: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and manage time effectively.Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50lbs and support onsite logistics.Patience & Empathy: Be patient and understanding with business partners and internal customers, addressing concerns with empathy.Additional Requirements:Flexibility in work hours and mobility, including potential travel to other Consumers Energy locations, as needed.
