We're hiringField service engineer Madison (Wisconsin) areaTHE JOBYou're responsible for installing, servicing and maintaining the equipment at our customer facilities according to the specifications. You will solve electrical, mechanical, software and sorter programming problems both at customer site, remotely by phone and by remote access to the equipment.After installing the sorting machine you give technical training and education to your client on how to set-up the machine, use it and fix first line failures. You also give advice on how to maintain the machine.You share your field experiences regarding bottlenecks and how to fix them with your service and engineering colleaguesYou're also responsible for the administrative processing of the work performed and you write work instructions if necessaryYou report to the service coordinatorYOUR PROFILEWork locationyou'll be mostly servicing our customers located in Wisconsin as well as some interstate travelling to customers. Otherwise homebased.Experience levelpreferably 3-5 years of experience as (service) technician (in which experience in machinery an asset is).Diplomatechnical high school diploma or GED, associates or bachelor's degree in a comparable mechanical or electronical field or equal by experienceWorking hoursflexible schedule in day shift (with relocation allowance)Travel frequencyabout 140 days/year in the field (mostly regional travel but also international travel so passport required).LanguagesEnglish (excellent).PC knowledgeMS Office and WindowsTechnical knowledgeforklift certificate and/or welding diploma is a plus Electrical troubleshooting skills required (3-phase, 1-phase power, low voltage DC). Mechanical work experience necessary. Knowledge of reading electrical and mechanical drawings desirable.
