Let me know if you are interested.Business Analyst IT L3Location: Torrance, CA2 Years ContractType:W2Daily Tasks Performed:Business system Analysis for Enterprise-wide digital transformation projects involving a large set of stakeholders & dependenciesSystem Analysis for Assigned Projects & Enhancements to new or existing systems Following clients SDLC methodology (Agile & Waterfall) and deliverablesWorkshop facilitation (e.g. JAD Sessions), data analysis, business process and workflow analysisGather, refine, and validate complex business requirements and combine into a clear and prioritized backlog.Occasionally manage project plan, staff tasks and progress & report statusCo-ordinate, schedule and chair meetings with multiple stakeholders & distribute meeting minutesSupporting Production Systems as neededCreating and executing test cases (Whitebox and Blackbox) that involve complex batch and online processingCreate presentation and communication material relevant to a variety of stake holders including business.4 to 6 years of relevant technical or business work experiencePosition Success Criteria (Desired) - 'WANTS':Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience.The candidate must display the following technical competencies:Basic knowledge of business requirement and corporate prioritiesBasic ability to gather/refine complex business requirements, recommend or make decisions on business requirements/interdependenciesBasic ability to develop complex business casesBasic ability to create impact analysis to make recommendationsBasic ability to present and defend complex positions and strategies for business decisions processes and plansBasic knowledge of compliance, governance structures and audit principlesBasic understanding of the business architecture and its relationship to other architecturesBasic ability to assess corporate impacts of changes and recommend strategies to senior managementAdditional Comments:Analyses business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functionsAssists in business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technologyTranslates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specificationsNegotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between business unit(s) and IT from initial requirements to final implementationWorks with business partners within one business function to align technology solutions with business strategiesSupports several moderately complex business processesAssists Project Managers in development of project plans and use associated project planning tools as neededAssumes Project Manager responsibilities in preparing and facilitating the project plan for smaller projectsConducts feasibility studies to assess cost/benefit, efficiency and technical viability of solutions to business problemsCoaches less experience staff
