Experienced candidates are encouraged to review the below JD and apply to the postingSummaryThe Senior Project Manager is responsible for contributing to the overall safety, direction, completion, and financial outcome of construction projects from initial budget through project closeout. A SPM provides management oversight for all phases of various construction projects, including coordinating employees, subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, and work is proceeding safely, with quality, on schedule and within budget.Principle Duties:Develops a cost-effective plan, budget, and schedule for completion of project following logical pattern for utilization of resources.Estimate, value engineer, and develop project budgets and bids.Minimizes exposure and risk by implementing and auditing safety standards and quality assurance controls in conjunction with company safety team.Coordinates work of subcontractors working on various phases of multiple projects.Oversees performance of all trade contractors and reviews architectural and engineering drawings to make sure that all specifications and regulations are being followed.Is responsible for proper administration of construction contracts and for obtaining all necessary permits and licenses.Supervises superintendents, reviews their reports, checks on any reported difficulties, and corrects any safety violations or other reported deficiencies.Tracks and controls construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of projects within time and monies allocated.Reports to owner, architects and company managers about progress and any necessary modifications of plans that seem indicated. Plans, implements, tracks and closeout /turnover of construction projects in a timely manner.Conducts project meetings.Manages day to day operational and tactical aspects of multiple construction projects in a supervisory role.Manages day to day client interactions and expectations, directly or in a supervisory role.Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, and project costs.Manages and achieves revenue goals set for projects.Generates and issues regular internal and external project reporting through company software (Spectrum and HCSS).Proactively identifies changes in project scope and ensures appropriate measures are taken.Projects changes in scope and revenue.Administers Submittal Review process between Subcontractors/Suppliers and Project design team.Maintains a good working relationship with clients, subcontractors, team members and managers.Capable of managing single projects in the $5 Million to $20 Million range or multiple small projects in various stages of construction.Other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Strong written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsDetail OrientedB.S. in Construction, Engineering, or related technical area is preferredA collaborative approach to leading successful projectsActively develop client relationships to sustain project and future workSelf-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a teamStrong negotiating skillsStrong computer skills, emphasis on Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, HCSS Heavy Job, SpectrumDispute ResolutionStrong organizational skillsFinancial and Job Cost Accounting KnowledgeAbility to work under pressure and coordinate numerous activities and groups of people who need to cooperate to achieve maximum efficiencyInteract with clients and potential clients to identify and pursue potential workBuild relationships with owners/architects/developers beyond current projectSupervisory Responsibilities:Project Team: Superintendent, Project Management AssistantMust be able to perform at all project management levelsProvide training and serve as a mentor to less experienced personnelWorking Conditions:Work in an office and field environmentMust be able to lift 25 poundsMust be able to sustain posture in a seated position for prolong periods of timeOvertime may be required to meet project deadlinesDexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, etc.Seniority LevelMid-Senior levelIndustryConstruction Civil Engineering UtilitiesEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionsQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 3 years' experience as a Project Manager and estimator.Proficient in Agtek and estimating software.
