We advocate for best pay, diversity in tech, and best job-fit for every candidate we place.Our client, an excellent law firm, is seeking a talented Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in Los Angeles, California!Responsibilities:Maintain computer systems and serversConfigure and maintain virtual machinesDesign and maintain computer policies and configurationsManage user accounts and security permissionsTroubleshoot and resolve technical issuesCollaborate with third-party vendors to resolve technical issues and implement new solutionsManage security software and backupsManage Helpdesk ticketing system and IT inventoryManage cellular phone accounts and mobile devicesManage virtual machine environmentAdminister and manage Microsoft Office 365 servicesConfigure and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewallsWork with and optimize security solutions to reduce system vulnerabilities and enhance data recovery capabilitiesManage software updates across the networkMonitor network infrastructure, servers, and services to identify and resolve issues proactivelyEnhance network security by implementing security measures and conducting regular audits to identify and mitigate potential threatsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred5+ years of experience in systems administration or high-level desktop supportExperience in cloud computing, networking, and working with vendorsExperience with Microsoft Office 365 and AzureExperience with virtual machines such as Azure Virtual Desktop, VMWare, or Hyper-VExperience with mobile device management (MDM) tools such as InTune, JAMF, or AirWatchExperience in working with and optimizing security solutions such as CrowdStrike and BeyondTrustExperience with managing software updates using tools like PDQ Deploy, SCCM, or InTuneAbility to monitor and manage network infrastructure with tools like Nagios, Zabbix, Sentinel, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM), or PrometheusUnderstanding of network security measures, including advanced firewalls and intrusion detection systems, and conducting regular security auditsFamiliarity with data recovery processes and tools, particularly VeeamStrong troubleshooting skills for resolving technical issuesExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams
