We are looking for a dynamic and well-established Legal professional for a family law firm in the Bay Area. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Family Law Legal Assistant/Secretary/Paralegal to join this wonderful team. This role is essential in supporting our attorneys with a range of administrative and legal tasks while ensuring the smooth operation of our office.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and format legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and agreements.File documents electronically and in person with local courts, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court rules.Manage attorneys' calendars, including scheduling court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other stakeholders.Organize and maintain client files, both physical and digital, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.Assist with billing, time entry, and invoicing processes.Conduct basic legal research and gather relevant case information when needed.Provide general administrative support such as answering phones, ordering supplies, and managing correspondence.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a legal assistant or secretary, preferably in family law.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal case management software, and electronic filing systems (e.g., e-Filing).Knowledge: Familiarity with family law procedures, forms, and court filing rules in California.Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a paralegal certificate or associate's degree is a plus.Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a professional demeanor.What We Offer:Competitive salary commensurate with experience.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.Paid time off and holidays.Opportunities for professional growth and development.A collaborative and supportive work environment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
