Our client is looking to add a new Human Resources/Payroll Manager to their team. They manufacture and install signage displays nationwide. Candidates must fit well personally above all else.Responsibilities and Duties:Work with CEO, CFO and V.P. of Operations Manager closelyManage/Coordinate office Team Building and other eventsMaintain office equipment and manage outsourced IT providerEnsure all office positions and employee performances meet company standardsProvide direction to employees regarding administrative duties and goalsSupervise employeesDevelop professional relationships with staff and provide strong team buildingCall/email and verify with contractors to provide needed paperwork to stay in complianceProcess weekly certified payroll (must have experience)Report all payroll to either (LAUSD, LCP Tracker & DIR)Submit CPR to contractors on Prevailing Wage projectsMaking sure that all Journeyman & Apprentice information are approved and entered in the system (LAUSD, LCP Tracker & DIR)Calculate all hours for each project (PSA, PLA, MLA, CWA) monthly to report to SCPDICalculate all hours and report for regular Prevailing Wage projectsMaintains data for CPR including file back-ups and hard copy documentation filesGet the correct rates and calculate Fringe Benefit Statement to provide contractor State/FederalProcess appropriate release forms as requestedSubmit Certified Payroll ReportsVerifies I-9 documentation and maintains current employee recordsAssists with new employee background checksProcess PayrollSchedules meetings and interviewsMaintain employee filesPrepares new employee filesAssist with company auditsUpdate HRIS system and run reportsLiaison between employees and insurance providersResolving benefits-related issuesEnsure the effective utilization of plans related to HR programs and servicesAdminister health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes, and terminationsAddress all employee requests and questionsAdministrate new employee hiring processesAdministrate performance review and termination processesAdministrate recruitment and interview processesMaintain Employee HandbookIdentifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting complianceWork with executive staff on appropriate resolution of employee relation issuesWorks with management and employees on grievances and complaints, and take appropriate steps to see that they are resolved or channeled to higher management, if necessaryComplies with applicable policies and proceduresQualifications and Skills:This job requires 2 years + in an HR/Management positionMust be bi-lingual English/SpanishAdept and proactive in problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsOutstanding problem-solving and team management abilitiesStrong knowledge of labor regulations and payroll processesProficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPointBookkeeping background a plusExperience with the construction industry, prevailing wage and payroll process requiredWell organized, flexible, detail oriented and have the ability to multi-taskEOE
