We offer solutions from feasibility studies, full engineering design services to close out and preparation of as-built recordings.Our Transmission Engineering team is looking for a Senior Transmission Line Engineer to support our growing Transmission & Distribution practice in San Diego or Arcadia. This is a hybrid position, working some days in office and working some days from home. The successful candidate will be involved in all facets of transmission line routing and design. Job DescriptionPlan, analyze, and design a variety of transmission line projects primarily with the utilities that have multiple stakeholders.Perform routine calculations for transmission lines, such as Sag and tension, structural checks and other analysis needed to prepare design packages.Develop technical documents for projects including design specifications, design criteria, material specifications, and relevant sections of construction packages.Perform quality control reviewsCreate project cost estimatesAct as the technical lead on projects and be the Engineer of Record for construction documents and drawings including plan and profile drawings, structure loading trees, foundation packages and assembly drawingsProvide engineering construction support as needed for projects in construction. This may include field supportProvide technical leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.Additional duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited collegeMinimum 7 years of transmission line design and field transmission construction experienceProfessional Engineering (P.E.) license or ability to obtain license within 12 monthsExperience in 69kV to 500kV line design and advanced working knowledge in Power Line system-based programs (i.e., PLS, PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, etc.)Advanced working knowledge of GO95, NESC and other relevant IEEE and ASCE standardsAdvanced knowledge in design, calculations, and design systems/software's to execute productionMust be analytical, self-motivated, and possess the ability to work in a team environment and a variety of situations while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic attitudeStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationshipsAbility to perform work safely and effectivelyAbility to work productively and meet deadlines timelyAdvanced proficiency with MS Office applicationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travelPreferred QualificationsEPC experience is strongly preferredProfessional Engineering (P.E.) license in CAThis position's base salary range approximation is $135K - $175K, depending on numerous factors such as applicable experience, skills, knowledge, credentials, geographical location, etc.We are always looking for exceptional people to bring new ideas, fresh thinking, and the motivation to help shape our growing company.
