Vice President of Sales Operations OverviewThe Vice President of Sales Operations partners directly with the Chief Sales Officer to drive operational excellence across the sales organization. This executive position is responsible for transforming sales strategy into operational execution through process optimization, technology enablement, and data-driven insights for the locums staffing business.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Strategic Partnership with Sales LeadershipPartner with the Chief Sales Officer to translate sales strategies into operational plansDevelop and track key performance metrics aligned with sales objectivesIdentify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to accelerate sales velocitySupport strategic planning with data-driven insights and market analysisLead quarterly business reviews and operational planning sessionsSales Process OptimizationDesign and implement scalable sales processes aligned with CSO's visionCreate standardized workflows for different market segments and client typesOptimize lead-to-placement conversion processesDevelop and manage sales forecasting and pipeline management systemsStreamline contract management and pricing approval workflowsAnalytics and Business IntelligenceBuild a comprehensive sales analytics framework supporting CSO's reporting needsDevelop predictive analytics models for sales forecastingCreate executive dashboards for sales and executive leadership teamsConduct regular performance analysis with actionable recommendationsMonitor market trends and competitive intelligenceSales Enablement and TechnologyManage CRM and sales technology infrastructureImplement sales enablement tools to improve productivityEnsure data integrity and system integrationDrive adoption of new technologies across sales teamsMaintain sales operations tech stack and evaluate new solutionsPerformance Management SupportDesign and manage sales compensation plansCreate territory and quota planning modelsSupport sales training and onboarding programsDevelop sales playbooks and best practicesManage sales incentive programs and recognition initiativesCross-Functional CoordinationAlign sales operations initiatives with other departmentsPartner with Marketing on lead management and attributionCollaborate with Finance on forecasting and commission paymentsPartner with HR on sales performance management systemCoordinate with IT on systems integrationQualificationsRequired Experience10+ years of sales operations experience, 5 years of operations management experienceProven track record of supporting large sales organizationsExperience with sales compensation design and administrationBackground in working and utilizing CRM systemsHealthcare industry expertise is strongly preferredExperience implementing sales technology through communication, change management, customization, and collecting business requirementsExpert knowledge building data models to build actionable insightsAbility to drive change management and organizational leadershipEducationBachelor's degree required; MBA or related advanced degree preferredCertifications in sales operations or project management are a plusSkills and CompetenciesStrategic thinking and analytical problem-solving abilitiesExcellence in data analysis and visualizationDeep understanding of sales methodologiesStrong project management capabilitiesAdvanced proficiency in sales technologiesExecutive-level communication skillsTechnical SkillsExpert level in Salesforce or similar CRM platformsAdvanced Excel and data analysis capabilitiesExperience with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)Knowledge of sales automation platformsProficiency in commission management systems
