Procurement Manager

Our client, a growing manufacturer, is looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their Supply Chain team.Full time / direct hireOnsite (5 days) in Van NuysBuyer Overview: As the Buyer, you will be responsible for assisting with managing all aspects of buying. You will manage the selection, purchasing, and delivery of assigned categories. Buyer Responsibilities: • Oversee opportunistic buying based on vendors or classifications and achieve targeted sales and margin performance • Identify new opportunities, pursue new vendors, source new markets, and maintain strong relationships with various cross-functional partners • Build strong relationships with vendors and exhibit trust, integrity, and follow-up, visit showrooms, select products, and handle negotiations • Manage BOM/ Bill of Materials and support the creation on new ones• Manage inbound logistics including working with International Vendors and Freight Forwarders to ensure all goods arrive to the correct location• Monthly reconciliation for primary and secondary packaging.• Partner with Contract Manufacturers (domestic fillers) to ensure goods are filled on time.Buyer Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree preferred • Proven Buyer, Planner, Procurement or supply chain management experience • Prior experience managing BOM/ Bill of Materials• The ideal candidate has prior experience with beauty or personal care industries• Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including strong Excel skills
