Responsibilities• Manage the company's engineering work.• Lead and develop the company's engineering business development and client relations with existing customers.• Will provide clients with engineering solutions for construction and maintenance/reliability issues.• Establish operational plans and staffing levels to develop offices capable of performing multiple large-scale projects and maintenance work.• Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency• Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales, and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress, and activity levels• Oversee the writing of scope, budget, QA/QC, continual improvement, and research and development• Understand and meet or exceed the requirements of the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract, customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs), professional service agreements, or other contractual requirements.• Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential• Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base • Develop and maintain positive client relationships• Serves as Company representative at all levels of operations• Other duties as assigned• Monitor quality and process control, and suggest improvements as needed. Qualifications• 7 + years' experience in structural engineering, structures, bridges, industrial buildings, large-scale equipment, and maintenance with extensive knowledge of Concrete and Steel structures.• Professional Engineer registration required in Illinois or Indiana. Structural Engineer registration is preferred.• Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills• Experience managing and mentoring teams of engineers • Excellent Project Management skills• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• Functional in utilizing spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and computer operations.• Experience in the industrial, commercial, or residential engineering industry is a plus Experience preferred in: construction, heavy industrial, manufacturing, or steel processing environments. • Proficient in 3D analysis, CAD, and Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel. Experience in FEI software preferred. Education:• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited four-year program. Master's Degree preferred
