Spencer Ogden is currently working with one of our clients to help grow their Project Management team. This will be a one-year W2 contract, with plans to extendCan be located in either Akron or Columbus, OhioSummary:Serve as project point of contact with Owner regarding efforts such as client coordination, strategic planning, scope management, and budgeting. Provide overall management of projects from concept through the development phase including siting, environmental, permitting, planning, estimating, engineering, right-of-way acquisition, project controls, bid phase services, procurement, constructability reviews, material management, construction management, and closeoutJob Duties:Coordinate project kick-offs and development of a project team to evaluate, refine and clarify project scopeLead projects from conceptual stage through developmental stage to hand-off of project to execution team; hand-off of project takes place at approximately 30% of the overall project lifecycleLead multiple concurrent projects including overhead transmission and substation projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kVWork with technical teams to understand interdependencies of projects and establish an overall construction sequence for inter-related projectsImplement a project management lifecycle process to document and execute projects in a consistent, standardized fashionLeverage technical education and background to effectively manage projects through early developmentLead a cross-functional team to execute substation, transmission line, and telecommunication projects from inception through design and construction to closeoutOversee 5-20 projects concurrently of varying sizes ($100k-$50M+) and voltages (4kV-765kV)Manage projects for schedule adherence identifying risks and requirements to successfully achieve a project's in-service dateNavigate projects through client gate approval processes including presentations to senior and executive management as required by each clientManage projects for financial adherence maintaining an accurate cost forecast reflecting committed and uncommitted costs for an estimate-at-completionProvide regular status updates on projects by maintaining project data and routine reporting as well as meeting updates for clientsLead project meetings with cost, schedule, real estate, environmental, construction and engineering resources to facilitate project executionQualifications:4+ year of project management or design engineering experience required4-year engineering degree requiredAdvanced certifications preferred (PE License, PMP Certification)High attention to detail and organizationExcellent communication skills and professional etiquetteAbility to work across multiple groups of different disciplines to drive results
